Hello, I’m Alex Mah, a programmer and graduate of the University of Wollongong, Malaysia. My journey into game development began after my foundation program when I decided to explore my interests. I tried out programming, learning Python and it got me interested in the tech field, and after weighing my interest, I decided to try out game development. This leap of faith led me to game programming, combining my love for games as a kid with my passion for problem-solving.

Today I’m mostly a generalist game programmer, and am more of a jack of all trades. My recent interest would be to explore Shaders and VFX. It is a pretty versatile way of implementing features/effects. It has helped expand my view on how certain visual effects can be implemented to improve games.

Outside of work, I’m a gamer, a big competitive TCG player, and I enjoy going to the gym. I’ve played around seven titles and know the basics for two more, but I’m currently actively playing Magic: The Gathering.
