Reflection
This was our first team project as students, and there were a few things that we could have tried instead in retrospect.
One of the main inspirations and references that we used was UnderTale and Omori.
We had similar conversational dynamics between the player and the enemy as part of the core gameplay loop, but the gameplay could have been a little more polished.
Another element of gameplay during combat just like how UnderTale implements combat could be interesting to keep the players engaged in the story while providing a fun mini-game experience.
But all things said and done, it is a solid first project as students embarking on our game development journey.
